There are an overwhelming number of plugins available for Obsidian and it is easy to to get plugin fatigue. I keep my instance of Obsidian very simple and these are the plugin that I enable for every vault. All of these plugins are available from Settings, Community Plugins

Go to Settings and change the following, this will ensure that your plugins stay with the folder that the note is in and that they have relevant names.
